Responsible Dog Owners Day Date: Saturday, Sept 16th Location: Oaks by the Bay Park, Panama City
We had a great time at this annual AKC sanctioned event organized by the Greater Panama City Dog Fancier's Association. Besides meeting some great kids (and their owners) it was an excellent way for getting our name out in the Panama City area.
Lots of "golden sightings" and we had a good number of folks stop by to find out about what we do. Answered many questions, handed out cards and even took in some very welcomed cash donations. Of course, a big bonus was seeing some of our "alumni" that were able to stop by ...
This is "Captain Ollie" who was adopted by Jim & Kay two years ago this month. Kay said that It took lots of time for him to get over being skiddish, but now he is a 70 lb. lap dog. Definitely a mama's dog, Captain Ollie follows Kay everywhere she goes.
A big thanks for stopping by our booth! We'll be adding a success story for the "Captain" in the next week.

"Goldie II" along with dad Keith, spent most of the day with us. A big thanks to you (and your kids!) for helping answer questions about the organization

A big surprise was to see Cadillac Jack! "CJ" is a 2002 alumni of ECGRR. He was heartworm positive when we took him in, but fully recovered.

This is "Doc" ... while not an alumni, he is a beautiful example of an English bred golden and was nice enough to set a pose.
A big thanks to our members that were able to help out and make this event a complete success!!
