My favorite Golden story involves a little girl with spina bifida named Trish and her rescue Golden, Cody.  I also volunteer with another Golden Retriever rescue organization located in Tennessee where I adopted my 12 year old Golden, Jake.  This story is on their website.  Grab a tissue, I promise you'll need it.  This is the truest testiment of a Golden's love and the incredible bond between dogs and their humans.  Read the story.  It will make you think twice about every doubting that dogs can communicate with those they love.  The website is www.heartlandgoldenrescue.org/trish&cody.htm  I hope you'll take the time to read it.  I think you'll be inspired.  Enjoy!

For some reason clicking on the link within the post doesn't take you to the story.  Instead, go to www.heartlandgoldenrescue.org  Then, click on the tab on the right side of the page that says "A SPECIAL STORY".
