8-27-2011 Update: Here's what Simba's foster has to say about him: "Simba has recovered from his skin problems and is gaining energy and enthusiasm for life.  He plays like a puppy with his foster canine buddy.  Also, Simba likes car rides, naps in my lap, tug of war, keep away games, swimming, wrestling and chew toys.  I haven't figure out the order of preference yet."

Meet ECGRR's latest wonderful senior - Simba.  He is an 8 year old male neutered Golden Retriever.  He was dropped off at a county shelter because his owners could no longer care for him.  After some loving foster care, he is now free of fleas, neutered and up to date on all of his vaccines.

What a wonderful old guy Simba is!  He is very laid back and likes to just hang out in the house with his pack (dogs and humans).  The doggy door baffles him (maybe he thinks it is too small for him) but he is very well house broken and has never had an "accident" in the house.  He likes his toys but is not overly possessive when one of the other dogs "steals" his toy.  He is a very sweet boy.

If you think you can give this special guy a great forever home, then all you have to do is fill out the online adoption application and mention him by name.  Nothing beats saving a senior!
