Success Stories - 2004

Angel

Rescued / Adopted Oct 23,2004

Minus the wings, this dog stands up to her name, Angel.  She came to ECGRR when her owners had to surrender her due to the husbands severe allergy attacks caused by dog hair.  They entrusted us to find her a good home with lots of love.  It was not a difficult task with a dog like Angel.

Angel was adopted by a women by the name of Charlie.

Charlie writes......

Angel is absolutely wonderful!  She has warmed our hearts beyond words and healed our saddened hearts after losing our beloved golden, Holly-Dog.  I truly thought when I signed up for the rescue league shortly after Holly-Dog passed away a year ago August, I would have a year or more to wait before being able to receive a dog from ECGRR.  My family and I were still grieving for our Holly-Dog, when in just a matter of weeks, we were contacted by ECGRR letting us know that they had a possible match.

When I met Angel it was truly love at first sight.  Who could not love that sweet girl.  Inside it was also a bit of mixed feelings since I still had not gotten over the passing of Holly-Dog.  I believe Angel IS an angel.  She has healed our hearts and given us such pleasure, enjoyment and unconditional love.  She is fun and full of life and love.  We are now even thinking about another golden for her enjoyment as well.

Charlie, we all at ECGRR would like to thank you and your family for accepting Angel into your home and your hearts after such an emotional loss.  Angel will never replace Holly-Dog but she will continue to bring you love and laughter right where Holly-Dog left off.  We wish you and Angel many years of happiness together.
