 7 to 9 Year-Old Female ADOPTED! 11-6-2010
| | Missy is a beautiful female Golden Retriever. She was picked up as a stray, with no identification, in Gulf Breeze by Animal Control. After pick up by ECGRR personnel she was examined by a Vet at Gulf Breeze Animal Hospital who found her to be heart worm negative, spayed, and she’s now up to date on all shots; Parvo-distemper, Rabies and Bordatella. She was also found to have been “Chipped” but there was no data on the chip. In addition, she was found to be infested with fleas, had a hot spot, and was diagnosed with an ear infection. She was given flea meds at the vet and is now on Advantix and heart worm preventative. Thankfully, these actions and antibiotics have cured all.
Now in her “permanent” foster home, she is blonde, beautiful, sweet, gets along well with her four other “cousins” plus a fifth being dogsat. She walks well on a leash and seems to know basic commands such as “sit”, “lie down”, “stay”, and she often puts her paw up for attention. She exhibits no aggression when she eats her dinner and morning treats with her other five “cousins” in he family. She is estimated o be somewhere between 7 and 9 years old and her teeth look good (minor tartar). She is house broken and learned to use the “doggy door” soon after arrival. She is very good with children, especially the foster family’s two grandchildren (two girls 5 and 6). Missy needs a forever home to just give her some love and stability. She'll be a great dog and companion.
