Tristan #10077 Print E-mail

One to Two-Year-Old Male
ADOPTED!
9-24-2010

This is Tristan.  ECGRR rescued him from a local kill shelter.  He is a sweet, loving two-year-old neutered male.  He is up to date on his vaccines and house trained.  He is in a foster home and this is what his human siblings (8 and 11 years old) have to say about him:

Appearance: Tristan is a sweet, sweet little boy.  He has a HUGE fuzzy head and looks just like a teddy bear. In fact, we've been calling him "Little Bear".  He is as soft as a teddy bear. His feet are so fuzzy he slips on the tile.

His eyes look so cute, and his nose looks like a meatball.  His chest and his back right paw are white, and his tail is bushy.  I'm not sure how much he weighs, but I'd guess around 40 lbs.  We believe him to be around 1.5 years old.  Pictures just aren't doing him justice.  He's a gorgeous goofy little boy and he makes us laugh all the time.

People & Kids: Sometimes he thinks he's a lap dog because he tries to sit in your lap for snuggles.  The house has been full of neighborhood kids and he's been perfect with all of them.  He's also in love with my daddy who is quite large, so he doesn't appear to be frightened of men.

Animals: He has been great with other dogs.  Both of our big boy dogs are quite smitten with him already.  We believe he would love to have a big brother or sister to play with.  We haven't exposed him to cats yet, so we don't know how he'd do with them.

Habits: His tail never stops wagging not even in his sleep.  He likes car rides, especially when we play music.  He is house trained (no accidents).  We haven't had to put him in a crate as he hasn't gotten into any trouble at all.  No chewing, no scratching, no bad habits discovered in the few days we've had him.  He's very eager to please and watches our older dogs for signs of how to behave.  He sleeps on the floor in our room.  The one thing we're working with him on is to stay back when we open the front door.

He is very good on leash and doesn't pull.  He likes playing fetch but doesn't always remember to bring back the ball because he gets too excited about getting petted so he runs back without it.  He also will sit for treats.  We haven't tried many other commands yet.  We haven't tried swimming yet.

Health: Tristan is underweight and needs to be fattened up a bit.  His fur is very soft and healthy.

Overall : Whoever adopts this little bear will be very thankful they did. He's about as sweet and snuggly as they come, but also very playful and just happy to be around people.  He's a very special little guy who will snuggle into your heart and stay there forever.

I'm a happy boy.

I'm so fluffy!

I'm ready for my forever home.
