Two-Year-Old Female Golden/Lab Mix ADOPTED! by a wonderful retired couple from the west coast of Florida, who drove over 12 hrs round trip to take her home!
| Farrah's Success Story | Hi Sandy: Just wanted to touch base to tell you how well Carabella (Cara for short) is doing. (Wonder where we ever came up with that name !) By the way, Cara means dear in ITalian and Bella, of course, means beautiful ! She did great on the ride home, stayed mostly in her bed but got up often to see if we had gotten home yet... (She loved the Mac burger we got her!) We stopped by our daughter's house on the way and they were all out in the driveway to greet her. She checked all over the house, even the shower, when we came in, then spent most of the evening in her bed and crate. She has eaten fairly well, drinks a LOT of water and is doing well exploring the yard. She has not been in the pool yet and we are trying to keep her quiet, especially when our grandkids visit. She was excited to greet our next door neighbor. She seems to know "Outside," reinforced by showing her the leash. Spends quite a bit of time alongside our chairs when we are sitting; really enjoys our scratching and rubbing her and keeps coming back for more. She didn't go in her crate much today, sat and laid on the tile and carpet wherever we were. All-in-all, I think we are all doing really well! Sandy, thank you so much for your part in our adopting a great friend... Tony and Jeanette | |
