Success Stories - 2004

Codie

Rescued 14 October 2004
Adopted 27 October 2004

Bless Codie's heart! She was abandoned during Ivan and turned into the Freeport Animal Clinic. The clinic spayed Codie and was nice enough to board her for over a week while she healed. Codie was briefly in one of our wonderful foster homes, but within 24 hours she already had a couple interested in adopting her.

Clovis and Henrie had lost their beloved Golden and were finally ready to bring another wagging tail back into their home. Well, Codie immediately went into their home AND their hearts. They are tickled with all her little antics, including crawling into the recliner with her new mom and dad. Codie is crate trained and doesn't need a leash. She loves her chew toys and having all this new found love.

We are so fortunate to have families like Clovis and Henrie to take in these wonderful Golden Retriever's. Henrie seemed surprised how quickly Codie had them wrapped around her little red paw, but we aren't surprised one bit. In just a week's time it is already noticeable how much healthier she is. We wish Codie many years of happiness with her new family.

THANK YOU, Clovis and Henrie!!!!
