Oscar #10016 Print E-mail

Three-Year-Old Male
ADOPTION PENDING!
Update 8-14-2010

Update 8-14-2010:Oscar's foster mom has decided that he is the dog for her.  Here's a photo of the two together.

Update 8-12-2010:  Oscar has decided that indoor living is pretty nice.  The foster mom states that Oscar loves to ride in the car and gets along fine with her other dogs and cats.  He loves attention and will let you pet him all day long.  He does very well when he is on a leash.  Oscar has started his heartworm treatment and is doing fine.

Update 7-26-2010: Oscar is now in a foster home where he is learning to be an indoor dog. He has also been neutered and is up to date on his vaccines. Unfortunately he is heart worm positive and will be going through the treatments soon.

Hi Folks. My name is Oscar and I am a three-year-old Golden mix. My lion's mane and blue tongue insist that I have some chow in my family but my looks are Golden and my personality is Golden with a kick.

My family loves me lots but Mom is having a new baby soon and we decided to find a family that will have more time to spend with me. I am a fun loving guy who loves to run, hike and bike with my people. I am a dog's dog to say the least. What I mean is that I LOVE to be outside and even have my own house in the backyard of my current home. My Dad makes sure I come in when it's cold out and do lots of fun, physical activities with me but when it is time to crash I simply do not want to come inside and hang out with small, yappy pooches so I keep to my bachelor pad for the time being. It would be really cool, though, if I found the right family to hang out inside with. Maybe I could learn to watch TV and get in trouble for laying on the couch stuff like other inside dogs. Ha/ha.

I like other dogs, as long as we get off to the right sniff. I don't mind cats but I LOVE to chase squirrels so we would need to be careful at first until I figure out my place and get to know my new cat-buddy. I like kids but I may be a bit too spunky for small children. I need a family who will give me lots of exercise and enjoy outside life with me but also work with me to learn the joys of inside living.  I just need a fenced back yard to run in and a family to love and play with me and I will be the best friend you could ever want.

If you think that Oscar would be a great addition to your family, please fill out an application and ask for him by name.

What a handsome boy!

Can I go home with you?
