One-Year-Old Male
*Special Needs

ADOPTED!

Brutus is a high energy one-year-old golden who weighs 70 pounds.  He loves to spend time with other dogs while at the Dog Park.  He is house and crate trained, up to date on all of his vaccines; he currently takes preventative heart worm and flea/tic medications.  He currently lives with a four-year-old girl and a five-year-old boy whom he loves to play with.  Although he has occasionally knocked down the five-year-old girl, no harm was ever done other than her getting up and scolding him.  Brutus loves to shake hands, give high-5's, go on walks, and fetch anything you can throw.   He has never met a cat, but has seen them around his neighborhood.

After taking Brutus for his vet visit, an x-ray discovered severe dysplasia in his hips.  His left was not as severe as the right side, but arthritis has set in both.  The vet suggested surgery on his right hip within the next six months.  The Vet provided two options: the first is full hip replacement; the second is a procedure that basically removes the ball of his right hip bones within the near future and his left potentially in a year.  He takes Dasuquin (glucosamine) once a day for the arthritis and pain medication as needed.

If you think you have the home that would be perfect for this young boy, fill out an online application and mention him by name.

Can I help you with that toy?

I love this holiday that they call Christmas!

Can I come home with you?
