Success Stories - 2005

Ruby

Rescued 7-13-05
Adopted 7-20-05

Ruby was abandoned at a local shelter with not even a name.  She had terrible fleas and had lost most of her fur on her hind quarters.  She also had a serious double ear infection.  This was a Golden in need of some help and TLC.

Ruby now lives with Katherine and her husband and their son and daughter.  Katherine tells us that with flea medicine, brushing and baths, her fur is growing in nicely and all of it is much silkier.  She loves attention and wants to be in the middle of anything going on.  "Shadow" would have been a good name for her also because she is always within a few feet of her human family and will follow them from room to room.  She loves to go for walks, to be brushed, to ride in the car, and to chase her squeaky "barbell".  She knows a few commands, and has never chewed up anything that didn't deserve to be chewed.  However, Katherine and her family are still trying to figure out what happened to those extra muffins that were left on the table?  The world may never know.  Katherine tells us that Ruby has been an easy and pleasant addition to their family.

Thank you Katherine and your family for taking Ruby into your home and your hearts and providing her with a forever home.  And by the way, The Muffin Man called and said The Butler did it!!
