Two-Year-Old Female ADOPTED
Here's Fergie's story told by her new Mom. |
This is the look of love and devotion! | Little Miss Bella talks to us when she wants to go for a walk, brings her new toys to us to play fetch, hops on the bed with me until Phil comes to bed, then she snuggles in her pillow by my side of the bed. Occasionally, we'll find her settled into the kennel (the doggie condo) taking a snooze. She wins everyone's hearts as soon as she meets them. She is such a cuddler and we love that. Bella goes for a ride in the car nearly every day. She's been to the beach -- doesn't like the waves, but loves to fetch the tennis ball on the sand. Bella's great off the leash -- stays close by and if she starts to wander she comes right back when we call her. I don't think she's had a single thought of running away (except maybe to chase a squirrel). We're still working on leash training so she doesn't pull, but she's doing much better paying attention to me. She obeys when I tell her to STOP and STAY at the curb before crossing the street with me, then she forgets and starts pulling again....We'll get there. We've stopped at the vet clinic on our walks a couple of times so she can get fun attention and a treat from the girls there. She's very smart and really wants to please. Occasionally we sit outside the front of the house and put her harness on with a cable around our pine tree. She loves the "action" in the front of the house and likes to sunbathe there. Phil brushes her while out there. Also, this gives our neighbors an opportunity to stop by and meet her when they're out on their walks. Obviously we are completely smitten with her. Bella definitely has her forever home. We love her dearly. Thanks for all the hard work you and the ECGRR members do. Adopted dogs are the BEST! Thanks! Rachel and Phil |

Fergie at the 2009 Dog Daze event in Fort Walton Beach | Fergie is a wonderful 2 year old female lab. She is a playful, gentle, and loving lab that will follow you everywhere. She is housebroken, knows basic commands, does very well with other dogs and loves the water. She also loves children and just wants to be where they are. | | Fergie loves to go for car rides and will not hesitate to join you in the car. She will cuddle up on the bed with you if you invite her. She likes to talk to you as well. Fergie runs and jumps in the air to catch balls or frisbee's. She can run like the wind. If introduced she would probably like fly ball or any other sport. |

Fergie at the 2009 Dog Daze in Fort Walton Beach | If you have a four foot fence you will need to watch Fergie because she loves to jump them. Fortunately she comes right back after she jumps it. So far the foster family states that she hasn't jump their four foot fence yet. | | Fergie is fully vetted and ready for her forever home! If you think you're the one for Fergie, please fill out an online adoption application and ask for her by name. |
