Dudley Print E-mail

4 Year-Old Male

ADOPTED!

Here's Dudley's success story told by his adoptive mom:

I just wanted to let you know that Dudley is doing wonderfully!  He has been on 3 months of heartworm preventative and I have a good feeling that he will test heartworm free in March when we take him in for his 6 month checkup.  He is still so calm and relaxed with the kids, but very playful with our other 2 dogs.  They all sleep together and Dudley joins us every morning on our 4 mile walks.  I truly never thought my husband would go for adding a third dog - but he was gung ho after having Dudley in our home for 10 days while we were fostering him.

Thank you Emerald Coast Golden Retriever Rescue for allowing us to foster and then adopt him.  What an amazing addition to our family he has been!

Dudley and his new foster baby.  He seems to take his job serious.

Dudley is grateful to be alive.  His number was up at a horrible kill shelter; however, one of our volunteers was called and came to his rescue.

Dudley is about 4 years old and has some scars that seem to indicate tougher days.  He is incredibly cuddly and sweet.  He's quite mellow as well.  On the ride to his foster home he tried to sit with the little boy in his car seat.  He seems to get along well with children and other dogs.

The foster mom thinks he may have been kept outside since he seems to be more comfortable outside.  However, he's doing fine inside as well.  Unfortunately Dudley is heartworm positive and needs a new foster home to undergo his treatment.

He's such a good boy!  Handsome as well.

If you are interested in this gentle boy, please fill out an application at www.ecgrr.com and ask for Dudley by name.  You won't regret it!
