Farah Print E-mail

Eight-Month-Old Female
ADOPTED!

Here's what Farah's new family has to say about her:

Farah and her new family having a little summer fun!

My name is Farrah!  I'm getting all settled into my forever home!  For some totally unknown reason my first people sent me to a place called the pound!  Luckily, I didn't have to stay very long because the wonderful folks at ECGRR came and got me! I'm about 10 months old and a big love!

My foster family had me for a few weeks while I was "fixed," got all of my shots, and got all of my health records up to date. They were soooooo good to me.  I had 2 other golden friends to play with while I was there.

Then, before I knew it, I was moving in with my forever family!  I think they kind of like me!  I get lots of pats, rubs, walks, runs, toys, games, food, water and all of the other things good dogs need!  Didn't take me very long to realize that no one was going potty in the living room....so, I figured out real quick that if I just make a little noise at the back door...someone lets me out in the back yard to take care of "business!"

I now have two sisters and a brother! One of the sisters is even the 4 legged types like me! We have so much fun together!  We like to roll in the grass, run, play in the water, tug and pull on chew toys and ropes. The two 2-legged ones are lots of fun!  I try to be careful to not knock them down....since I'm still a lot bigger than they are. They get really excited to see me in the mornings! They give me treats just for being cute!

We walk every night and they say I'm a pro because I don't pull on the leash!  When I first got to my forever home...I liked to jump up and put my paws on the counter to see if there was a snack up there for me.  Now, I've gotten smarter, I only take a peak up there when I think no one is watching :) My original family didn't do any of this "training" stuff with me.....but after 2 weeks....I know a lot of commands and manners, too.  I use to jump up on my people, but not so much anymore! I'm learning to sit, come and what seems to be my family's favorite:  I don't dart out of the door when it is opened!  They tell me I start "school" in a few weeks.....sounds like I should get to skip a grade or something, huh?

Well, that's pretty much my story for now.  My new family tells me they love me and are very glad to have me! Thanks ECGRR for giving me a forever home!

This beautiful spunky girl is named Farah.  She is 8 to 10 months old, HW-, spayed, and current on all shots.  She is very friendly and gets along well with kids, cats and dogs.  She loves to play fetch with a tennis ball.  Farah is a puppy still and needs work on walking with a leash and learning what is expected of her in the house.  She is a true Golden and loves to be with you where ever you are.  She is new to the program and we are still getting to know her so please check back for more updates.

If you are interested in adopting Farah, please fill out an application and mention her by name.
