10 MO OLD MALE

Meet Max, a very handsome yellow lab/golden mix boy with a very friendly temperament.

He has been selected to participate in the Paws in Prison Program, beginning on April 10 and lasting 8 weeks: www.pawsinprison.net.

When he graduates, Max will walk perfectly on a leash and will know many new commands.

Interested applicants can meet Max while he is training.

Here's what Max's foster Dad says about him:
 
Max's Likes:
Chewing on his bone
Chewing his Kong Rubber toy
Loves to go on walks in the evening 1 to 3 miles walks depending on weather
Loves to get his coat comb  (done at least twice a week)
Likes to be out in the sunshine to socialize with his neighborhood friends (a Boxer couple and Mixed Boxer terrier Female next door and a Terrier next door.
Likes playing chase in the house and outside.
Likes to be petted LOVES affection and giving it back in return  
Max is house broken.
Loves to play with everyone in the house
Gets along with children in the neighborhood and other dogs
Kennel Trained (it is not used as a negative but as a positive
Max likes chasing the light beam  off a flashlight
likes to play with his soccer ball outside
enjoys chewing on sticks outside
Does not like blankets or pillows in his kennel
Over all Max is a fun loving dog who need someone to love him and treat him right.  
He knows some commands i.e. sit shake lay down and he knows NO!
Max  will let us know if he needs to go to the bathroom by either sitting by the patio door and cry or by nudging us during the day or in the the middle of the night he will give one big bark.
 
 
Max is a great big baby with a lot of potential.  He has given us joy and we have learned alot from him and he has learned from us.
