Bud Print E-mail

Two-Year-Old Male
* Special Needs
ADOPTED!

Here's what Bud's new mom has to say about how well he is doing at his new home.

Hello,

Just wanted to take a minute to send along a few pictures.  Bud is adjusting wonderfully, he is getting more comfortable each day with his new-and varied-family.  He really enjoys playtime when I get home from work.  They were all playing when I took the pictures so I couldn't get everybody to stop and pose!  The first is Bud standing near Bob's tower.  Then Bud taking a run, and finally Sydney and Dixie playing.  Bobo doesn't participate but enjoys watching.

Harley didn't make it through the night Saturday so we had a sad weekend.  Hope you're all doing well and thanks again for everything.

Rhonda

You would never know he was blind.

Bud is running around trying to find that thing that smells funny!

Hi, I’m Buddy, and I’m a VERY good dog!  I’m a neutered 2 year old male with soft fur that loves to play.  Something unfortunate happened to me last December, though.  I woke up one day and I couldn’t see anymore.  It’s OK, except I bump into stuff now and then…But, I learn my way around a house and yard really fast! I also have a heart murmur, and short of a miracle I probably won’t make it to age 5. Despite my medical issues I’m happy and very affectionate.

I love my foster family, but I really want a family of my own!  I love to hang out with them, plus I get to sleep in the bedroom with them and their other two dogs – one of which was adopted from ECGRR!  I really love playing with my foster sister.  We wrestle and play fight all the time, and she doesn’t even care that I can’t see!  I’m OK with staying in a kennel during times when everyone’s busy, but I really enjoy finding my way around a house.  I especially like going to the dog park -- all the wonderful smells and following other dogs around is heaven!

Almost forgot to mention that I am house trained, but it takes me a little while to get used to a new routine.  Can you work with me on that?  Oh, btw, I’m a VERY good watchdog too!

A family I once lived with had a puppy, an older dog and another animal in the house.  It didn’t smell like a dog and it made this funny hissy noise if I got too close. The puppy said it was a bad dog and not to mind it, but the older dog said it wasn’t a dog at all.  She called it a cat.  I just wanted to smell it, but it wouldn’t let me!

So, that’s about it!  I would love to come and live with you and be your forever dog!

Buddy

I can do just about anything any other dog can.

Even though I can't see you and I smell you!

I'm just a happy dog.
