Bailey

Adopted 10-Jan-05

This is the story of our Golden Girl Bailey.  She truly has the face of an angel and a heart of gold.  Bailey's original owners surrendered her to Bay County Animal Shelter.  A good Samaritan took her in but then lost his job and had to re-surrender her along with some other animals he had at his home.    She was then rescued from the shelter by ECGRR only ONE day before she was scheduled to be "put down." The shelter felt that due to her age and the arthritis in her hips nobody would want her.  They were wrong.  We wanted her and we knew that there was a family out there that would want her.  We were right.

Bailey now lives with Bobbi and Gregg who had originally decided to provide her with a foster home.  When the time came to give her up and send her once again to another new family, their hearts took over and Bailey became a permanent member of their family!  Bailey now shares her new home with 2 cats named Stormy and Little Bit and a 7 year old Golden named Jake.  Bobbi tells us that even though Bailey is 12 years old, every once in a while she will show her gutsy side.  No AARP needed for this ol' gal.  She still has some pep in her step.  Of course after the pep, she does tend to go nap for a couple of hours!

To Bobbi and Gregg, we thank you for giving Bailey her final forever home.  Puppies are cute and younger dogs may be more fun, but it truly takes someone special to not only open their home but their hearts to an aging Golden.  We hope you realize what special people you truly are.
