1 year old male
ADOPTION PENDING!

Gus is a very sweet 1 year old Golden. He was was rescued from a shelter in the path of hurricane Gustav, and when ECGRR got him he had severe skin disease. He's been undergoing treatment for that and is recovering very well. He had lost a lot of hair, but it is almost all grown back in, with just a few bare spots on his hindquarters. Gus does need to be neutered, and that will happen as soon as his skin treatment is done.

Gus is a small boy - about 50 lbs, but he may grow a little bit more. He's very snuggly and eager to please, and will try to curl up in your lap in spite of his size. Housebreaking is coming along very well, and he rarely has accidents. He's crate trained and asks to be let into his crate every evening at bedtime. He's learning to walk on a leash and some basic commands. He does great with children of all sizes and loves to play with them and with other dogs. Gus is a wonderful dog with lots of love and energy.

If you're ready to share your life with a wonderful companion, please complete an adoption application and mention Gus by name.
