2 year old male
ADOPTED!!

Tyler is a gorgeous 2 year old male Golden Retriever that came to us from a high kill shelter. We think he was primarily outside because he needs some work in the housetraining area; however, he's making great progress. Sadly he is heartworm positive but will start treatment very soon. He also needs to be neutered; this will happen soon as well.

Tyler is true to his Golden Retriever breed. He is an energetic young boy who needs space to run. He also needs a big fence; he can easily get over a 4 ft fence. He is good with humans of all ages and is getting along well with his current doggie housemates. Tyler really needs some TLC; he loves any attention he can get.  He's a real snuggle bug and he really wants to be a lap dog.

Due to health issues in his current foster home, he also needs a new foster home while he undergoes his heartworm treatment. If you think you can provide Tyler with the love and affection he so deserves, please fill out the adoption application and mention Tyler by name.

UPDATE:  Tyler has been neutered and is now into his heartworm treatment.  The final phase started March 2.  He is crate trained.  He is pretty mellow in the house for being such a big boy.  He gets along well with humans of all ages.  He loves the water, car rides and walks. Tyler gets along well with most dogs; however he will want to be the top dog in your home. Tyler is not recommended for a house with cats.
