5 month old female
ADOPTED!

Peanut is a 5 month old female yellow lab (we're sure she's got some long lost Golden relatives on her family tree).  She weighs about 30 pounds.  Peanut came to the rescue via an animal shelter, where she ended up after being hit by a car.  Miraculously, she didn't suffer any major injuries, just some bumps and bruises.   Peanut is an absolute sweetheart.  She's a bit shy at first, but as soon as she knows that you won't hurt her she's nothing but a cuddle bug.  She seems to be very content, but also very cautious about many things.  Who can blame her after being hit by a car?  She LOVES her belly rubbed and would rather be lounging in the grass getting petted than anything else, which is why most of the pictures of her are of her relaxing.
Don't be fooled though...  true to her breed, she really loves to retrieve.  Though still very young, she seems to understand that if she brings it back, the person will throw the toy again.
Because Peanut is so young, she would be best off in an active home with a family that has enough time to spend with her.  Her new family will need to be patient and willing to teach her basic commands and manners.  Being a retriever, surely Peanut is eager to please and a fast learner.  Right now Peanut is being boarded until a foster home opens up.
