Bark in the Park 2008 was a rousing success!!
We had a great time at Bark in the Park 2008! As many of you know, this is ECGRR's main fundraiser and we were able to raise some much needed funds thru donations and the Silent Auction. Thanks to everyone who donated items for the auction.
All money that we receive goes to the care of our rescued dogs - like Abigail who was able to make an appearance at the event. Special thanks to her foster family for bringing her out to see everyone who has been pulling for her!
Abigail has quite the fan club! In fact, we're pretty sure that ECGRR alumni Jack (bottom right) has fallen in love! He sure seemed smitten - so much so that he had to go cool off a bit!
Some of the other Goldens took advantage of the hot dog bobbing tub to cool off - what could be better - hot dogs and swimming!
Some of the other guests decided that a dirt bath would help to beat the heat - or maybe they were hiding their hot dogs!
All in all, it was a fantastic day and everyone had a blast! Special thanks go out to all who helped with the event, and especially Trudi, who was the driving force for getting everything done so well. Our hats are off to all the volunteers - Janice, Christie and Bob, Karen B., Heidi and Charles, April, Bobbie and Greg, Michelle, Kelsey, and all the friends and family that so often get drafted to help but don't get named. You guys are the best and are what makes ECGRR such a great organization! If you'd like to see more photos of the event, you can go to: http://picasaweb.google.com/trudibaum/BarkInThePark2008 |
