Help us help Abigail!  Abigail came to us after being hit by a car and left to die. ECGRR was contacted and rushed to the rescue.  This sweet girl has now had 7 surgeries - both her back legs are fractured - and will need a great deal of expensive care and rehab.  Despite her ordeal, she is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever seen.  CLICK HERE to read Abigail's story.

• Winston Print E-mail

1 year old male
ADOPTED!

Winston is a sweet and lovable 9 month old pup whose owner surrendered him to a kill shelter.  Fortunately, the workers at the shelter saw how terrified he was and called an ECGRR volunteer.  Initially, we couldn't understand how such a gorgeous boy could be surrendered, but as we learned more about him, we figured it out.  You see, Winnie was bred by an irresponsible backyard breeder/puppy mill and has some problems that his owners likely just didn't want to deal with.   These problems, which are certainly manageable, stem from his breeding and early environment.   You can read more about Winston's condition and his story if you CLICK HERE.

Winston is a special needs pup.  He is looking for a home that will be able to provide the special care that he needs - medication, special diet, daily exercise, socialization, and weight management.  In return, you will get unwavering loyalty, endless love, and the companionship of a wonderful dog who is a joy to be around.   He is great with other dogs and children and his foster mom feels that he would make an incredible therapy dog.

If you think that you might be the right person to share your life with Winston and provide him with the care he needs, please fill out an adoption application and tell us a little bit about yourself.

UPDATE:  Winnie has found his home, and best of all, he gets to live with his brother!!
