• Maxwell Print E-mail
 10 year old male
ADOPTED!

Maxwell is a beautiful 10 year old male Golden who is being surrendered along with his brother Skippy due to his owner's transfer by the USAF.  Maxwell's owner is absolutely heartbroken at the thought of giving up his boys.

He has this to say about Maxwell:  "He is a mellow, gentle dog who loves the ladies.  He will stay as close as possible and keeps them within sight at all times.  His favorite pastimes are sleeping, waiting for people to drop food, exploring/inspecting the yard, and barking/chasing the big trucks (UPS, cement) down the fenceline.  He is thunder/lightning shy but has never acted out, only hidden/cuddled. His hips have started to cause him some difficulty, but I have had very good results with glucosimine/chondroitin.

I am leaving due to USAF orders and am unable to take either of my dogs. It breaks my heart to have to leave them  and uproot them from "their" two acre dog park I foolishly call my yard".

Maxwell was tormented by small boys when very young and for that reason, his owner reports that he is not particularly fond of young boys.  For this reason, he would likely do best in a home without small children.

If you think you'd like to give Maxwell a forever home, please complete an adoption application and mention him by name.  A reduced adoption fee will be provided to a home that would be willing to keep Maxwell and Skippy together.

UPDATE:  Maxwell has found his forever home and is living the good life!
