Help us help Abigail!  Abigail came to us after being hit by a car and left to die. ECGRR was contacted and rushed to the rescue.  This sweet girl has now had 7 surgeries - both her back legs are fractured - and will need a great deal of expensive care and rehab.  Despite her ordeal, she is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever seen.  CLICK HERE to read Abigail's story.

4 month old female
ADOPTED!

This adorable baby is Louise, who along with her sister Thelma, was pulled out of a kill shelter.  Although not a Golden, our volunteer was unable to leave these sweet girls to face a certain death at the shelter.  Unfortunately, that's an all too grim reality for the millions of pets taken to shelters every year.  Another reality is that shelter animals are often exposed to a variety of diseases; and as you can guess, these girls became ill a few days after leaving the shelter.  Fortunately, they recovered quickly and are now healthy and ready to go to a new home.

Luckily, there will be a happy ending for these darling girls (and the lucky family that adopts one or both of them).  They are as cute and cuddly as can be, and are full of energy and fun.  They are definitely Lab mixes and will be big girls when they grow up. As Honorary Goldens, they'll make a wonderful addition to the home(s) that is willing to take the time to teach them to be valuable and well-mannered canine family members.

If you are interested in making one or both of these sweet girls part of your life, please complete an adoption application and mention them by name.

UPDATE:  Louise and Thelma found a home with a pair of little boys to call their very own!
