8 year old female ADOPTED!

Meet Rosie, an 8 year old female who came to us from a local shelter after being picked up as a stray. Rosie just entered foster care after having surgery to remove some tumors - we should have more info from the vet to follow. Rosie's foster family is still in the process of evaluating her; however, they say that so far "...she is such a sweetheart. She is so energetic for an 8 year old! She seems extremely happy and is playing very well with our two 7 month old boy Goldens. She can keep up with the puppies every step. She loves affection and tennis balls (of course, she is a Golden). She keeps a tennis ball in her mouth almost all the time. She is very good in the house as well and responds immediately to basic commands. She will make someone a great companion!" UPDATE: Rosie has found her forever home with Mom Tina, a human sister and a Golden sister.
UPDATE: Rosie is adjusting well to her foster home and enjoys going to the dog park and taking long walks. She does well with her foster brothers but would be fine as an "only child" as long as she has her tennis balls.
She's getting good reports back from the vet who believes that they were able to remove her tumor completely; she will, however, need to be watched to make sure that the growths don't return. She's such a beautiful girl and will makes some lucky family very happy. |
