Hello, my name is Faith.  I have a Cinderella story for you.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful golden girl named Faith.  She was the only one who thought she was beautiful though.  She had a family consisting of both human and canine.  She and her family didn’t know she had allergies.  The allergies were causing her a lot of health problems.  She had fleas, her eyes were red, ears were swollen, dry itchy skin, and she had a terrible fragrance about her.  One day her family decided they could no longer keep her.  The Emerald Coast Golden Retriever Rescue (ECGRR) was called to help.  She now has her forever home and she is sooooo happy!

The first few days in her new home were a little scary.  She didn’t understand what was going on nor why.  There were new smells, new canines, new humans, and new surroundings.  After a few days and lots of love she started to feel safe and secure.  After a few weeks she found out that the new forever family thinks she’s a princess.  Finally, someone who understands what she was destined to be!

She wakes her human Mom up every morning with a body wag and kiss.  She goes outside in the cool air and plays with her new canine brother while her new Mom drinks coffee.  She eats a delicious breakfast and takes a nap in the bliss of modern air conditioning.  Then there’s more play later in the day followed by more naps.  In the evening there’s dinner, and best of all a snack just before bedtime.  Of course through out the day she gets lots of hugs and love from her new family.

She loves sleeping next to the bed where her new human Mom sleeps.  Sometimes she prefers to be next to her new canine brother.  She gets to choose!  She wears a new pink collar and leash with a bright shiny name tag.  She evens gets to have a pretty pink bandana, made just for her.  She even goes to the beauty shop every two weeks.  What a treat!!!

She’s feeling so much better.  Her eyes are clear; her ears aren’t swollen; and her skin is becoming that of a healthy and beautiful Golden Retriever.  The best part of all, she smells so much better.  Oh, life is good!

She loves her new forever family, both canine and human.  Thanks ECGRR for helping her.  They all lived happily ever after.

 The End

 Faith

By the way, this was my story.
