ATTENTION: KNOLOGY CUSTOMERS UPDATE: 6/10/2007: Recent reports and logs are showing mail is now getting through to Knology customers, but there have been a few instances of a delay of several days. We will continue to monitor this issue until we are certain that normal delivery has been established.
There has been a recent issue with emails being sent from our site (www.ECGRR.com) to email accounts that use knology (email addresses that use name @ knology.net). These emails are being returned (bounced back to us) as undeliverable. The first error that we see with these mailings is: ********************************************** ** THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY ** ** YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE ** ********************************************** ----- Transcript of session follows ----- <the address @ knology.net>... Deferred: Connection timed out with spamlite.knology.net. Warning: message still undelivered after 4 hours Will keep trying until message is 5 days old
and then after 5 days, the email is returned to us with the error of: ----- The following address had permanent fatal errors ----- <the address @ knology.net> ----- Transcript of session follows ----- <the address @ knology.net> ... Deferred: Connection timed out with spamlite.knology.net. Message could not be delivered for 5 days Message will be deleted from queue
In other words, we can't send you email (including our newsletter). Please note that this is something we have no control over. We suggest you, as a Knology customer, contact Knology and let them know that the mail server they are using is "timing out" causing the failure of email delivery to your account. There is a very good chance that you are missing LOTS of email with this issue
