Parrot Head fundraiser May, 25th 2007 Dock, Sassy and Anela showed up to the Parrot Head social, at Sculley's restaurant, by boat. After helping to secure the lines, they hopped up on the dock and made their way to the back deck for some fun. A live band was playing and the restaurant was packed with Parrot Head members, so the dogs found a nice cozy spot to lay down while their humans stood waiting for a table. Many Parrots Heads came over to get love and kisses, all the while, sharing their doggie stories and thanking us for bringing these beautiful gentle creatures for them to see and pet. During a band break, a few words were said about our cause and our last years rescue dogs. ECGRR saved 74 dogs in 2006, treated 21 for heartworm and spayed/neutered 27! The hat was passed, so Dock, Sassy and Anela then took the opportunity to work the crowd and visit with every table! We had a great time and hopefully by next month will know about the funds raised that fun night! Dock pulled me aside, and growled into my ear, telling me he had a great time and next year wants to bring more rescue dogs, like himself! Thank you to our local FWB Parrot Heads
