Barktoberfest 2007

This event is the main fundraiser for The Humane Society of Pensacola, Fl and offers the community a chance to come out with their beloved pets and family to enjoy a fun day in the park!

We had a wonderful day at Barktoberfest!  There was a lot of interest in both the dogs and the organization, and we've already gotten adoption applications for some of the dogs that were present.  Our booth looked fabulous and Yvonne had some really marvelous raffle items donated from The Leading Edge, Sassafras, The Rave, Petsmart, Petland, Ark Animal Hospital, Kobe's Hallmark, Ann's Hallmark, and The Village Groom Shop.
 
ECGRR would like to send a big thanks out to everyone who participated and particularly to Yvonne for organizing our booth with the help of her husband and family, Ginger for bringing Kia and Rocco, Keith and Barbara for bringing Samson, and Tammy and Mike for bringing the adorable Cora.  Bob brought Miss Lucy (who requested belly rubs from everyone) and some wonderful cookies that were homemade by Kim.  Mary, Henri, and Kandi made some awesome bandannas which were a huge hit and went like hotcakes.  Mandy, Gwen, and Pauline were also there to help us out and answer questions.  Becky and Doug stopped by to help with Taz, who they recently adopted from ECGRR.

It was truly a fun day.  We met some nice people and made some great rescue contacts.  We were also able to get our name out there and raise some money for the rescue.   Thank you again to everyone who worked so hard to make this a successful event!
