Who We Are and What We Do ...

Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, we are a group of volunteers who share a common love for Goldens.  We find good homes for Goldens who have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered.  The geographical area that we cover is the Florida Panhandle, west of Tallahassee. (CLICK HERE for Golden rescue groups that cover the rest of Florida)

All dogs are checked for temperament and health.  We have a screening process for adoption families, and will consider all requests on a case by case basis.

We are always in need of funds which we use exclusively in returning these gentle animals to good health and finding appropriate homes. [more info]

If you, or someone you know, is looking for or considering a Golden as an addition to your family, be sure to check out some of the Available Goldens we have in our program. Adopting one of these loving animals is a great experience.  Before you "surf off", please take a moment to read some of our heart warming success stories.  Note of caution ... some of you may need to keep a tissue or two handy.

We currently have many dogs in foster care.  If you are interested in fostering please fill out an online volunteer application and someone will be contacting you for a homecheck.

If you can provide a foster home for one of our wonderful animals, please CLICK HERE.

Thank you for those who recently volunteered to foster for us.  WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES FOR HEARTWORM POSITIVE DOGS.  IF YOU CAN OPEN YOUR HOME AND HEART TO THESE GENTLE CREATURES PLEASE FILL OUT A VOLUNTEER FORM TODAY!  We will train you on what needs to be done to care for a Heart Worm Positive Dog.

Heartworm is much more common in warm tropical climates like Florida which supports a large mosquito population.  Have your dogs checked for heartworm, and make sure to put them on preventative.  It is much cheaper, and safer than treatments.

This a potentially fatal condition that is easily prevented!

Hershey, our chocolate lab, passed away last night (9/6/08) from complications of heartworm disease. He was at the vet's office getting the best care they could give him when he passed.
He was only about a year and half old and the sweetest boy ever.
So much tragedy in such a short life....

Thunder phobia is a common problem and we have had some luck with an anxiety rap called thunder wear.  Check the website here.
